If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power.

Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating. The door lock led light will blink. Unplug washer or disconnect power. You should then be able to open the washer door.

If there is no motor humming pull the washer forward and unplug it. If not call for service. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch lock unit.

Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset. The door will not immediately unlock while the cycle is running due to a possible high water level in the washer high water temperature tumbling or spinning. Nothing else will appear to be happening with the machine during this time. Reconnect power to washer plug in.

Carefully reach up along the inside of that front panel and pull down on the manual release tab that is on the bottom of the door latch assembly. You will hear the door click when it unlocks.

Run a drain and spin cycle. Remove the screws coming in from the back of the top panel. After 15 minutes it will reset and the motor will stop humming and the door will unlock. It may take up to five minutes for the washer to stop spinning and draining before the door will unlock.

Gently pull the tab down about a 1 4 or until a click is heard. If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly. The top panel will pull straight back up and off. The washer will go into a hold and drain routine for 8 minutes.

The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Located on the bottom of the door switch lock unit is a teardrop shaped tab. The door should unlock after 60 seconds.
